![]() Here's some general tips for performing well in this gamemode. The squad needs to plant a bomb and escape before it detonates. Press it again while aiming at your deployed sentry to pick it up. Press Mouse3 (middle click) to deploy your sentry. Technician is best used to defend the team, especially in standoffs against large hordes of infected by gunning them down via shotgun and turret. When it comes to firepower, the Technician's shotgun and pistol provide great protection similar to the Pointman, and when combined with a well-placed turret, the zombies will be hard-pressed to get close. Protecting your turret and knowing when to either grab it or abandon it as a decoy can save or ruin the match. The turret has infinite ammo, but not infinite health - it can replenish health slowly when picked up and carried by the Technician, but if it is destroyed, it's gone for the remainder of the Technician's life. The turret can be deployed anywhere on the ground, and will attack any zombies wandering into its vision cone. The Technician's best tool is his sentry turret - very familiar in use for fans of Half-Life 2. Press it again while aiming at your deployed supply case to pick it up. Press Mouse3 (middle click) to deploy your supply case. Support is best used to keep the team healthy and loaded with ammo. Ultimately they're both enough to help the Support survive small groups, but against larger hordes he'll need teammates to rely on - and most will be happy to do so, in return for access to the supply case, of course. The pistol is helpful in emergencies and in the hands of an accurate shooter but provides poor DPS. As for weaponry, the Support is fairly weak - An SMG provides good damage but has a strong recoil, and a very slow reload time. The supply case can be picked back up again and deployed as many times as needed, and slowly replenishes its supply when not in use. This makes the Support a valuable member when holding out against oncoming hordes and healing up before planting the bomb. The Support's most useful tool is the supply case - when deployed, players standing next to it will gain armor, health, and ammunition at a slow rate. Press M to bring up the class menu to change your class for next round. Self-explanatory for anyone familiar with Source games. Press E to use objects like buttons and doors. It's slow to repeat and leaves you vulnerable to zombie attacks, but it can one-hit-kill almost all the weaker zombies and can be a good last resort when your guns are dry. Shouldn't need to explain why this is useful, right? ![]() Mouse3 (Middle click) uses your special item (which is usually either a thrown grenade or a deployable object). Mouse2 (Right click) toggles ironsights/scopes for more accurate aim (and will slow your walking pace). Pressing 1 and 2 draw the player's primary and secondary guns, respectively. I won't go over the very basic stuff since any number of guides can do that (as can simple practice), but here's a brief overview of the functions the player can use. ![]() The game sports a variety of difficulty options which adapt dynamically with the number of players. The playstyle and controls of this game are very familiar to anyone who plays other shooters or Source games, like Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike, and so on. Resupply in-between waves with a dynamic selection of weapons and equipment for your best chance to survive until the next round.ĬURE can be played both on and offline, with or without computer controlled team mates. Survival mode is a wave based no-win scenario, test your skills with the odds increasingly stacked against you. Pick your speciality out of five player classes: Pointman, Support, Assault, Technician and Sniper, using each ones unique play style and equipment to support your team, and successfully complete each mission. In objective mode play as a team of special military operatives, tasked with “curing” infected areas of a post-apocalyptic world, by planting controlled explosives before pulling a short sharp exit. Codename CURE is a first person, co-operative zombie game with support for up to five players, providing dynamic, fast-paced zombie fragging with both objective, and survival-based missions.
